Pneumatic Torque Screwdrivers

Products: 33

Pneumatic torque screwdrivers are designed for fast, repeatable tightening of threaded joints to a controlled torque value. Our range includes DOGA models in straight, pistol-grip and angle versions, with torque ranges from 0.4 up to 26 Nm. The individual versions also differ in how they are started, their rotational speed and the type of bit (tool) holder, so you can match the screwdriver to the joint and to the way your workstation is set up.

How to choose a pneumatic torque screwdriver

Start with the torque required for the joint. The screwdriver should cover it with an adequate margin, especially in intensive series production. We offer models for low torques from 0.4 Nm as well as more powerful designs reaching 12, 24 or 26 Nm.

The torque range alone is not enough. At a production workstation, operator ergonomics, access to the joint, the start method and the required pace of the process matter just as much.

For a broader comparison of pneumatic, manual and electronic tools, see our guide on choosing and using torque screwdrivers.

Straight, pistol-grip or angle screwdriver?

Straight screwdrivers suit axial, mainly vertical tightening. They are available with lever start or Push to Start (started by pressing the bit against the joint), and work well in repetitive assembly with a fixed part position.

Pistol-grip screwdrivers are meant mainly for horizontal work. They are guided like a conventional power screwdriver and started with a trigger, which suits joints in front of or beside the operator.

Angle screwdrivers are the choice when product geometry prevents aligning the tool with the joint axis, for example for screws in recesses or near other components. Depending on the model, they come with a square drive or a bit holder.

Match the start method to the operator's work

Push to Start lets the operator position and start the tool in one action, which suits repetitive assembly. Lever start gives separate control over when the tool begins to work and is available in straight and angle models. Pistol-grip versions use a classic trigger and are designed for horizontal operations.

Choose the start method according to how the workstation is organized. With many repetitive cycles, even a small difference in handling affects comfort and can significantly speed up the process.

Torque and speed must be considered together

A higher speed can shorten the time it takes for the screw to reach the final stage of tightening, which matters in series production with a short cycle time.

Select the speed only after determining the torque range. Models for different torques can have very different speeds, so choose a variant to suit the joint and the expected cycle time, not just the highest rpm.

The shut-off clutch ensures repeatable tightening

DOGA screwdrivers in this category use a shut-off clutch: once the set torque is reached, it cuts off the air supply and stops the tool. The operator does not have to judge when to stop tightening, which is especially valuable in series assembly.

Set and check the torque with suitable measuring equipment. We also offer torque tool testers and joint simulators for checking screwdrivers.

Check the compressed air requirements before you buy

Check the required air flow, the connection and the recommended hose diameter. The installation must provide stable conditions even when other tools on the line are running at the same time, and proper preparation, supply and lubrication help maintain performance during intensive use.

If your process does not require a permanent pneumatic drive, or the tool will be used only occasionally, see our manual and electronic torque screwdrivers.

FAQ

Do you have pneumatic screwdrivers with a clutch?

Yes. Our DOGA pneumatic screwdrivers have precision shut-off clutches that cut off the air supply and stop the tool once the set torque is reached, ensuring repeatable tightening.

Do you have air-powered pneumatic screwdrivers?

Yes. Pneumatic screwdrivers run on compressed air. We offer DOGA models in straight, pistol-grip and angle versions for professional and industrial assembly, differing in torque range, speed, start method and air consumption.

Do you have pneumatic screwdrivers with a screw feeder?

No, the current range in this category does not include models with an automatic screw feeder. We offer industrial torque screwdrivers guided manually by the operator. For an automated assembly station, please contact us to discuss a solution individually.

What pneumatic screwdriver should be used for wheels?

For wheel bolts, a pneumatic impact wrench is normally used for loosening and preliminary tightening, not the screwdrivers from this category. Final tightening should be done with a controlled torque per the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations, for example with a torque wrench. Pneumatic screwdrivers are for other assembly applications and work at much lower torques.
