Torque Testers
Torque tool testers check whether a wrench, screwdriver or other tool delivers the correct torque. We offer compact torque wrench testers, expandable ST Smart testers, joint simulators for powered tools and stands for use with the testers.

Which torque tool tester should you choose?
Start with the type of tools you need to check. Periodic checks of torque wrenches on the production floor call for a different solution than inspecting electric or pneumatic screwdrivers or equipping a laboratory.
For quick checks of torque wrenches, we recommend the CT series testers. They support mechanical, electronic and slip-clutch wrenches, and their compact design suits both production and quality control.
ST Smart testers are more flexible. The system consists of a readout unit and transducers with different measuring ranges, so the station can grow with your needs. With the right accessories, the ST series can check torque wrenches as well as electric and pneumatic tools with a clutch mechanism.
Match the measuring range to the tools you check
Testers in this category cover ranges from 0.05 Nm, used in precision screwdrivers, up to 2000 Nm for large torque wrenches.
When choosing, check:
- the torque range of the tools to be checked,
- the drive or adapter size,
- the type of tool being tested,
- whether you will need additional ranges later,
- how the results will be used.
If your tools work in very different torque ranges, ST Smart lets you use one readout unit with different transducers. For a group of wrenches with similar ranges, a CT tester matched to those values may be simpler.
Testing electric and pneumatic power screwdrivers
Checking powered tools must account for how torque is delivered in real tightening. ST Smart testers can check electric and pneumatic screwdrivers with a clutch mechanism, but this requires a suitable joint simulator.
The simulator reproduces joint behavior during tightening and is matched to the tool's torque range. It is also required for the Installed Torque function in ST Smart testers.
ST Smart testers cannot be used for impact and pulse tools. If you need a tester specifically for screwdrivers, go straight to torque screwdriver testers.
Checking a tool versus a complete measuring station
A tester on its own suits routine verification of tool performance. For regular laboratory use or a more extensive inspection process, we also offer mechanical torque loading stands.
They let you build a complete measuring station with a suitable tester and control how torque is applied when testing a wrench.
Our CT and ST testers have a measurement accuracy of ±1% in both directions and come with a manufacturer's calibration certificate. For ST testers you can also order an additional accredited calibration certificate (PCA). If you need periodic checks of your tools instead of your own station, we also offer service and calibration of torque tools.
